Top 10 Ethnically Diverse Models in Australia

What do your website and social media profile have in common?

One single look at either will INSTANTLY showcase your brand’s core values.

In order to emphasise the importance of diversity, more and more brands are choosing to showcase a variety of looks in their campaigns to demonstrate their brand values.  Amid falling sales and negative press attached to lack of diversity, we’ve seen brands like Victoria Secret make unexpected model choices to pivot their image by integrating brand ambassadors from Asia, like Yang Mi and Zhou Dongyu.

“Amid the COVID-19 pandemic and despite massive changes in people’s lives, the demand for more diversity in visual communications has only increased,” said Dr Rebecca Swift, Global Head of Creative Insights at Getty Images as reported by B&T Magazine

Nearly 80% of respondents to a new global survey have said it isn’t enough to have people of various ethnicities, backgrounds, and appearances in advertising but that they expect companies to do a better job at capturing people’s true lifestyles and cultures.

We have already seen an increase in brands wanting to feature indigenous Australian models as well as models of Asian, African, Pacific Islander and Middle-Eastern descent. We’re excited to see how brands in Australia will continue to respond to this refreshing demand from their customers for more ethnically diverse models.
